I’m the pri­mary pho­tog­ra­pher for Black Rain Stu­dios, a web site that is cur­rently (and sadly) still in devel­op­ment. Black Rain Stu­dios is based wher­ever I hap­pen to be, which is usu­ally Lub­bock, TX, although I travel as often as I can.

Yeah, I know. It’s weird. But life is goofy and unpre­dictable and fun and breath­tak­ing and you’ve just gotta go with it, right?

I love tak­ing wed­ding and engage­ment pho­tographs, but I’m also prone to dri­ving miles and miles and miles out of the way, toss­ing up a tent, and spend­ing a week in the wilder­ness find­ing new and awe­some things to pho­to­graph. I also try to do a lot of fashion/model stuff because it’s so much fun.

I’m a free­lance writer and have writ­ten many funny and seri­ous things about music and tech­nol­ogy and cook­ing and liv­ing with a bunny and how awe­some life is and if you don’t think life is awe­some then you’re doing it wrong and here’s how to do it right. I hope to be post­ing some of it here.

I’m a dig­i­tal artist and my cur­rent great­est pas­sion is find­ing new and excit­ing ways to marry dig­i­tal pho­tog­ra­phy with dig­i­tal arts (Pho­to­shop). Yeah, I love to tweak my pho­tos and make them into some­thing new and unex­pected, some­thing that makes you catch your breath and think Is that a sun­set in her eyes? That stuff rocks and I spend hours and hours mak­ing it happen.

I’m a musi­cian, but in the very lib­eral Cap­tain Beef­heart/Train/Rob Zom­bie/Mar­i­lyn Man­son kind of way. I haven’t released any­thing yet because I’m some­thing of a per­fec­tion­ist. I don’t hire out and haven’t per­formed live in years. I pre­fer to write stuff that turns me on then release it to the world. More on that later.
